I'm Nash, a professional (hah!) web developer from Oosterhout, the Netherlands. I got tired of Drupal, couldn't get the Symfony CMF working with the Sonata Backend project, and started looking for other CMS solutions for building a site for a friend of mine, and eventually settled on Bolt because it looked promising, and I'd already had good experiences with Silex and Twig. Haven't looked back since - I've solved problems in easy-to-follow ways that would seriously make me consider core hacks in Drupal, and I can theme to my heart's content without having to worry about divs within divs within divs and five hundred pounds of long-deprecated JS unless I want it that way.
I'm mostly stuck with Drupal on the job, but for my own projects, Bolt tends to be my go-to solution :)
